Blue butterfly pea tea is made from sun-dried flowers of the blue butterfly pea orchid, which grows in the mountainous regions of northern Thailand. This blue tea offers a rice-like taste along with an orchid aroma. When brewed without any additives, it produces a deep blue color. You can add a slice of lemon or lemon juice and honey if desired. You may observe that lemon or any acid changes the color of the blue tea from blue to pink/purple. Preparation: • Heat approximately 250 ml of water to a temperature of 79-85 degrees Celsius. • Pour the heated water into a teapot and add 1-2 teaspoons of blue butterfly pea tea. • Let it steep for 4-5 minutes. • This unusual tea is now ready to give you a unique experience.
