Every stage of these carpets is handcrafted, representing an uninterrupted tradition stretching from the 16th century to the present day. Yahyalı carpets are made from 100% pure wool, tightly and securely knotted using the Gordes (Turkish) knot technique. This technique gives the carpet a long lifespan, durability, and even pile height. The color palette is entirely derived from nature: gray from clay mud, red from dye root, brown from oak shells, and natural shades of blue and green. Thanks to organic root dyes, the colors do not fade and deepen with washing. The patterns feature geometric forms that have been passed down since the Seljuk period, and regional motifs such as rose feet, apple feet, and mosque feet in the borders and frames. Each motif is a narrative overflowing from the weaver's cultural memory. They perfectly complement modern, bohemian, Scandinavian, and vintage decorations.
